The Polverini Story

The artisanal knowledge gained through this partnership was passed down through the Polverini family. In 1889,Pasquale Ficosecco established the “Pasquale Ficosecco” brand, solidifying the family's legacy in accordion craftsmanship.

Gino Polverini, after learning from his father, founded his own accordion workshop and began exporting his own production in 1932. In an effort to better understand the business, Gino also managed Settimo Soprani, the oldest Italian accordion brand.

After the Second World War, Gino reunited with his brothers Giuseppe, Elio, and Alberto, who had been working with Farfisa, the largest supplier of accordions in the world at the time. The combined knowledge and experience of the brothers led to the creation of Fratelli Polverini in 1947.

The Ficosecco and Polverini families united through marriage, bringing together two distinguished family brands. Since 1961, the "Pasquale Ficosecco" brand has been part of the Polverini family legacy.

Today, Polverini continues to supply exceptional quality accordions to passionate musicians around the world, with dedicated fans in the United States, Mexico, and China. The historical work of the Ficosecco and Polverini families can be admired at the International Accordion Museum in Castelfidardo, a testament to their enduring legacy and contribution to the Italian accordion industry.
